Before class today, I was inspired to draw a landscape. The sky took over. Now, I have a finished work (I hope), but no clue what it is.
What do you think this is?

I have lots of homework this week. I have a quiz on book terms to study for in Government and two in-book-assignments due in my Master Student class. Due Wednesday are two papers for English, typed, using concepts found in the book.
My book-bag is missing.
Not everything I need is missing. My notebooks and handouts are in my laptop bag. My planner is currently in my hand. I can do some things from these, but not a whole bunch.
Handouts + College Rule =! textbooks
(Handouts plus college rule do not equal textbooks)
I am out of my mind with worry. What if I don’t find them in time? How do I study for a quiz if I don’t have textbook definitions? How do I complete papers if I don’t have the information I need? Focused on this, my world seems set to crumble.
I look everywhere. In all the cars I had been in Wednesday, in all the places I studied, at everyplace I could have possiably set it down.
Wait! It’s h… no, that’s a set of boots. Here it i… oh, “Bro, I found your bible!”
I hope I can find them. Late work is not easily made up for.
Please, anyone… pray for me?
<skip ahead six hours>
Ah-ha! I have found it! Life is good…
Those who prayed for me, thank you kindly.

Today, my church gave me money.
No, Thad (my youth pastor) didn’t go crazy. He already was.
He’s doing what he’s calling a ‘GiveBack Program’. We’ve been talking about Jesus’s “This-Is-Heaven” story about the farmer (Mark 4). Basically, the farmer spreads seeds, and he gets more then 30 times back. If you haven’t already got it, that story applies to this program because we are “spreading seed” into the lives of others.
Yes, this program has rules.
- Spendable on ourselves, the money is not
- We may only spend on people foreign to the youth group
- If somebody asks why, we tell them of the program
- A written account of the experience should be made
Now, Thad’s not going to check on us. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t want us to do the right thing. God will check on us. That erases any devious thoughts in my head.
He also left quietly while we were praying. Very artful. Kinda like, service isn’t over, we have the continuation in our hands. Cool.
The only question remaining is: “God, who do I give my money to?”

When I started this site, I made the readers a promise (and kept it, of course)- To write only when I have something good. Unfortunately, when I sit down to write nothing good is all that forthcoming. So, goodby promise, hello more posts then once-every-three-months-if-I-can-think-of-something-snazzy-and-finish-the-fifteenth-draft.
Warning-With this new rule, and given that I am no Sam C., my writing will be just shy of awful on some days. That’s just how it is. Please comment on posts you think are sub-par
Otherwise, I plan on doing very well. Untill I write again,

Okay, so, I haven’t been keeping up on this blog. Life’s been busy and all that, but my fault.. there’ll be more posts later on.
Anyway…
Today, I was doing a little homework for ENG 111. Assignment: Close Analysis of a Concept. (I have to evaluate a comic, ad, or another graphic in that vein.) My subject? A somewhat risqué ad for ThinkGeek.com (see picture to the left).
So, I go to do research. Right into ThinkGeek.com. What do I find there? Magic! Excitement! Wonder! Not really. I find a site filled to the brim with the coolest in geekery and gadgetry. I love what I see. I adore it! I am immediately drawn into the lush landscape of things I wish I could have. I simply have to look at everything, lest some artifact of awe slip me by. I have to get the rest of my homework done, as well, so I am faced with a dilemma: browse the virtual catalogue of wonder, or finish my homework so I don’t have to do it tomorrow. I choose ‘B’. Wise, neh? To homework I go!
While I’m busy analyzing a screwdriver, check out my ThinkGeek.com wish list. Even if you can’t buy me anything, you can donate to my cause (donate button to come later, when my ‘net connection is better).
My Wish list!
